And now the results you've all been waiting for....

Ed had an appointment with his oncologist yesterday to go over the PET scan. He said that there was striking improvement to the one he had last year. Ultimately it is 99% likely that Ed is clear and that the bit that did light up on the scan is scar tissue. He will see the ENT dr next week so he can do a scope and determine if the tumor is gone and if he wants to do a biopsy or not. At any rate, this is all VERY good news and, while he didn't want to speak too soon, based on our conversation I'd say it's likely he's cancer free now. Next week he'll also schedule a time to get his feeding tube taken out which is more good news. Woo hoo!
